At the Gates of Oil Hell is the eighth mission of Act of War: Direct Action.[1]
Objectives[]
Primary[]
- Jefferson must not die: If Sergeant Major Jefferson is ever lost or captured mission will fail.
- Breach the refinery's main gate: The enemy has built some railgun turrets at the south entrance of the refinery. Locate and destroy the tokamak reactors to cut the power and disable all of the enemy's railgun turrets.
- Clear the central area: Move to the area indicated on the map and eliminate all hostile presence. Then deploy a Task Force Talon headquarters, a derrick, and a refinery to begin oil extraction.
- Secure and protect the TransGlobal Energy administration building in the northern part of the refinery: Capture and fortify the indicated structures with infantry. Spinners and S.H.I.E.L.D.s can switch quickly from anti-tank to anti-infantry/aircraft weapons and are particularly useful for this task. Scout ahead with heavy snipers and Spinner bomb drones.
- Secure the fuel reserve: Move strong troops to the fuel reserve and eliminate all enemy presence, then begin oil extraction. Hint: this is a good location for secondary base.
- Secure and protect the southern TransGlobal Energy administration building: Capture and fortify the indicated structures with infantry. Spinners and S.H.I.E.L.D.s can switch quickly from anti-tank to anti-infantry/aircraft weapons and are particularly useful for this task. Scout ahead with heavy snipers and Spinner bomb drones. Use buggies or upgraded S.H.I.E.L.D.s for stealth detection.
