GUOS Drone Deployment is a Task Force Talon upgrade in Direct Action and High Treason.
Overview[]
In Direct Action, the upgrade enables all Task Force Commandos to launch a stealthed GUOS Drone for free, which provides temporary line of sight in a targeted area near the unit with stealth detection. Immediately after deployment, the ability enters cooldown and cannot be until after it passes. Cooldown timers and activations function individually per unit.[2]
In High Treason, the upgrade enables all Heavy snipers to launch said GUOS Drones. Task Force Commandos and Future Force Warriors instead launch GUOS Mines, which cost $200 per deployment and will remain in the area indefinitely until their destruction, causing a damaging explosion. The cooldown doesn't start until then.[1]
